Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael is an all-boys private High School offering a classical Jewish education together with a fully-accredited college-preparatory general studies program. Our school schedule accommodates a dual curriculum with Jewish Studies in the morning and the General Studies classes taught in the afternoon. We are looking for qualified Science, ELA, and History teachers for our afternoon program, Monday-Thursday.
If you are someone who can engage and inspire students and has excellent classroom management skills, this may be the position for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson planning
- Maintain timely and accurate records using our LMS
- Participate in curriculum night and parent-teacher conferences (2-3 nights total)
- Attend faculty meetings and professional development workshops (scheduled in advance)
- Use of Google Classroom technology
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents
Qualifications Required:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, Master’s Degree is a plus
- Knowledge of Georgia Standards of Excellence for ELA grades 9-12
- Passion for imparting science skills to the next generation
- Excellent Classroom Management strategies
- Teaching certification or state approved equivalent
Salary is based on experience and professional credentials.
As a small private High School located in Northeast Atlanta, we are seeking an energetic, relationship oriented, experienced science, ELA, and History Teachers. Our school has an enrollment of 60-70 with class sizes of about 20 students or less. We are a tight-knit community based institution.
