The High School Ministry exists to create an environment and community where students can be introduced to Jesus and transformed by him. The High School Ministry Worship Leader position creates environments for students to worship God, while also raising up a new generation of worship musicians. This position also works closely with volunteers and students to shepherd them and tend to their spiritual care.
Reports to: High School Pastor
Works with: High School Ministry team, worship musicians, audio techs, staff, and volunteers
Works: Part-time, Salary, Approximately 25 hours per week
Leading High School Services - 50%- Lead worship and conduct rehearsals at least three times per month in High School weekend services.
- Lead worship and conduct rehearsals at least three times per month in High School mid-week services.
- Schedule Worship Leaders, musicians, and audio techs for weekly High School services.
- Set up and operate audio/visual equipment as needed.
- Mentor and develop young musicians, singers, and Worship Leaders, both musically and spiritually.
- Recruit and train tech volunteers in the High School Ministry.
- Serve as part of the High School Ministry leadership team to help craft vision and execute ministry vision.
- Lead and disciple High School students, particularly those serving in worship ministry.
- Lead and disciple High School Ministry volunteers.
- Attend and staff High School summer camp and treks.
- Cultivate intimacy with God and growth in Christ-like character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.
- Attend church all-staff meetings, devotions and trainings.
