The Position
Heli-1 Corporation is seeking experienced helicopter A&P Mechanics to join our growing team of maintenance professionals. The primary focus of this position is turbine field/contract maintenance. This position would require travel and frequent short or long duration and / or seasonal trips in support of on-going contractual requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Inspection and repair of helicopter and components to be maintained with the highest standards of the FAR's, and manufacturer's programs.
A&P Mechanic
- Must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of FAR regulations.
- Ability to routinely perform Annual/100 HR, 300 & 600 inspections as well as other scheduled and unscheduled maintenance items in remote field environments.
- Removal, re-installation and replacement of major components such as main rotor and tail rotor blades, engines, main transmissions, tail rotor gear boxes, main rotor and tail rotor hub assemblies.
- Main and tail rotor track and balance.
- Component inspection, repair and overhaul.
- USFS/DOI contract coverage as mechanic
- Field travel will be required.
- Must have the ability to use computer databases and software programs to track ongoing maintenance.
Qualifications/Licenses
- FAA A&P Certificate issued at least 12 months prior to application date.
Required Skills/Experience
- Previous work with a Part 133, and/or 135 operator.
- Ability to obtain a USFS/ DOI mechanic card for a Bell Helicopters 205, 212 & Sikorsky UH-60 aircraft operated by Heli-1 Corporation.
- At least 12 months experience as an A&P mechanic maintaining helicopters.
- At least 12 months experience on the same make and model or completed manufacture's maintenance course.
- The ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Willingness to work in a stressful environment, the ability to multitask with excellent customer service.
- Ability to forecast and plan upcoming maintenance events for assigned aircraft.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- USFS/DOI Carded with Bell Helicopters 205, 212 & Sikorsky UH-60 models.
- Documented factory training on any of the above-mentioned airframes and/or engine training.
- Inspection authorization
- Component overhaul including: main rotor hub assemblies, main transmission, gear boxes, swashplate assemblies, tail rotor gear boxes, and tail rotor assemblies.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
