Atlantic Emergency Solutions is seeking full time Heavy Truck/Diesel Mechanic for our Springboro Service Center.
Our Heavy Truck/Diesel Mechanic are responsible for analyzing malfunctions and repairs, rebuilding, and maintaining fire and emergency equipment. This includes, but is not limited to the units, pumps, compressors, and generators. A Heavy Truck/Diesel Mechanic will operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose discrepancies, dismantles, repairs, reassembles vehicles or equipment utilizing hand tools and hoists. Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using precision measuring equipment. Repairs, rebuilds, overhauls, replaces defective assemblies and components such as collector gear boxes, transfer cases, differentials, and both water or hydraulic pumps. Tests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency. Welds broken parts and structural members.
Requirements
Requires any combination of education and/or related experience equivalent to two years. Additionally, candidate would need to be able to lift up to 30lbs without assistance. Pre-employment drug screening and satisfactory driving record required. Additionally, Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class B is required or must be obtained within three months of hire. ASE Mechanic and EVT certifications as well as state inspection license a plus.
