You will be responsible for various tasks related to earthwork, grading, and utility installations. Minimum Requirements:
- This position is considered a "Safety Sensitive Position" and will require Successful completion of a pre-employment Safety Sensitive drug screening.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy machinery.
- Competency and knowledge of various machine types.
- Earthwork and grading experience, including tasks such as mass earthwork, loading of hauling vehicles, placing materials, compacting, moisture conditioning, and fine grading.
- Utility experience, including tasks such as trench excavation, pipe setting, shoring processes, and systems.
- Strong commitment to safe equipment operation, situational awareness, and immediate recognition of mechanical issues to prevent further damage.
Job Duties:
- Conducting daily equipment inspections, checking fluids, wear parts, tires, and overall machinery condition. Report any issues and required maintenance promptly.
- Operating assigned machinery safely and efficiently, adapting to changing traffic, soil conditions, and weather.
- Utilizing GPS systems, reading grade stakes and hubs for precise grade control and finishing.
- Efficiently managing materials during excavation, loading haul vehicles, placing materials, fine grading, and utility installations.
- Operating a range of machine types and sizes, such as excavators, loaders, dozers, compactors, haul trucks, scrapers, tractors, and graders.
