BCSI has immidiate openings for Heavy Equipment Operator with minimum of 2 years experience, to operate construction excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators and any other equipment required. Maneuvering motorized Heavy Equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials. Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from Heavy Equipment as required by job. Always observing and following all company safety protocols. in oil and gas or commercial construction applications. Experience with excavation, trenching, compaction, grading and other types of equipment with multiple equipment controls is required. Class A license is preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
All candidates must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education level, pass a background screening physical examination and drug / alcohol screening as a condition of successful consideration for employment and have a clean driving record. Failure to do so will result in the candidate being disqualified from further consideration. Candidates must pass the road test prior to being hired. Ability to communicate effectively. Be willing to learn, participate, and take directions. Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate construction excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators and any other equipment required. Maneuvering motorized Heavy Equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials. Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from Heavy Equipment as required by job. Always observing and following all company safety protocols.
- Prepares construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation
- Transports tools and other construction equipment/materials to and from construction locations
- Have appropriate licenses and certifications to operate equipment as required by the customer.
- Prepare pre-shift vehicle/Heavy Equipment inspection.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by working Foreman(s)
- Practice work safety.
- Attend regular scheduled workdays.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
- Manage time in an efficient manner to complete assigned work.
- Follow written and oral communication and direction.
- Interact with business partners and customer representatives in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate leadership in decision making.
- Always follow customers and Brown’s Construction Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Must maintain licenses and certifications required for the position.

Physical Demands and Work Environments:
Some travel from site to site; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions; work and/or walk on various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces and rough terrain; may be required to work extended hours including some evenings and weekends.
- The ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Move/Transport/Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Ascend/descend inclines, elevations, and equipment.
- Work in all different weather conditions that may contain extreme heat or extreme cold stress factors.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 2 -3 years’ experience is required in the oil and gas industry and/or construction industry to operate heavy machinery such as, front-end loaders, motor graders, backhoes, and bulldozers and other equipment as needed. Heavy Equipment Certification is preferred but not required.
· Must have a high school diploma or GED
· Must possess and maintain a valid Class C California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; Class A driver’s license preferred but not required
