SalaryOur company is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operatorto join our team in Austin, TX.
Description
This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all compost equipment, including but not limited to front-end loaders, compost turners, wood grinders and screeners. The position reports to the Operations Manager. Must be able to operate large pieces of equipment in a safe and effective manner and also be able to self-perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues with the operating equipment.
Examples of Duties
- Shovel materials as required.
- Operates Heavy Equipment safely and effectively to turn, process and load compost material.
- Able to take instruction and work with others to achieve goals.
- Maintain the general working area in a leveled and organized manner.
- Blending composted materials and soil amendments to produce high quality blended products. Loading customers with compost products. Push or spread greenwaste to make room for dumping, cleaning, or grinding.
- Performs safety and maintenance inspections as described in the preventive and daily equipment checklist.
- Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
