The Frazier Quarry is currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join their North Quarry pit crew. Responsibilities include safely and efficiently operating a variety of Heavy Equipment utilized in the quarry, such as a loader, excavator, and dozer. Candidate should possess a thorough understanding of heavy operating equipment best practices.
Essential Functions
- Commit to hold safety as a value.
- Properly follow company and MSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman or Safety Manager.
- Operate Heavy Equipment of various sizes and weights used in the processing, crushing and moving of stone.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, promptly reporting defects or needed repairs to the maintenance staff, and ensuring equipment cleanliness.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience operating Heavy Equipment is required, loader experienced preferred.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to provide regular and reliable attendance.
- A valid state driver’s license.
Physical Working Conditions and Exposure
- Work is regularly performed in outdoor weather conditions, including rain and extreme temperatures.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, dust, and stone particles.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders/stairs to enter and exit mobile equipment.
- Moderate noise level in work environment.
- Frequent sitting, talking, and listening.
- Use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Walking short distances, sometimes over uneven terrain.
- Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
