Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments of Heavy Equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other construction machinery.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including parts used and work performed.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines during maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records, including equipment history and repairs performed.
- Communicate effectively with the supervisor and other team members regarding equipment status and required repairs.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Field Technician.
- Solid understanding of construction equipment, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training or certification in Diesel Mechanics is a plus.
Skills:
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing Heavy Equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid driver's license.
- Class A CDL License (preferred, but not required)
- Clean driving record
- Any relevant certifications in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Equipment repair.
