Full-Time - SWING SHIFT
Looking for mechanically proficient trainees or experienced pros. We repair and maintain medium/heavy duty truck fleets, trailers and equipment in Sacramento and Placer Counties.
We’re looking for Mobile Diesel Technicians who can troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain diesel truck and equipment fleets. We are also looking for people who want to learn how to do these things as a career. We will train you. You will work in our 23,500 square foot shop for a few weeks to test competency. Your main focus will be oil changes, brakes, and BIT inspections.
You’ll be working with a fully equipped truck including your phone, computer diagnostic equipment, air compressor, air welder/generator, A/C recovery machine, lifting and supporting devices, safety equipment and all supplies and parts necessary to complete assigned jobs.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair and maintenance for medium and heavy duty trucks, trailers and equipment including all major vehicle systems: engine, drivetrain, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, tires, and computer diagnostics
- Operate a fully equipped and functional mobile service vehicle, delivering service to customer locations throughout the Sacramento, Placer, and Sierra Mountain areas
- Respond throughout the day to different tasks as requested by the changing demands and needs of the business
What you will need to succeed:
- Highly proficient in troubleshooting and computer diagnostics (or ability to learn)
- Strong independent work ethic and responsible character
- Punctual, reliable, and positive attitude
- Advanced aptitude and ability to perform diagnostics and repairs
- Clean driving record and responsible and reliable to manage company's assigned items, including but not limited to company credit card.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass drug screening
