Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and vehicles. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
- Use power tools and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble diesel engines
- Perform tire services, including rotation, balancing, and replacement
- Align wheels and axles to ensure proper vehicle handling
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and related systems
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engine issues
- Familiarity with tractor-trailers, cranes, or other heavy equipment is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with others
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
