Duties:
- Perform Vascular Ultrasound procedures to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images
- Evaluate images for quality and diagnostic value
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret test results and provide accurate reports
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Vascular Technologist or in a related field
- Proficient in performing Vascular Ultrasound procedures, including carotid, venous, arterial, and abdominal studies
- Knowledge of aseptic technique to ensure patient safety during invasive procedures
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to the vascular system
- Ability to accurately measure vital signs and interpret diagnostic evaluations
- Familiarity with sonography equipment and techniques for optimal image acquisition
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate image acquisition and interpretation
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues during procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation
Requirements:
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or equivalent certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field preferred
- Current knowledge of industry standards and best practices in Vascular Ultrasound imaging
