Responsibilities:
- Process insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner, following established billing procedures and guidelines.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments.
- Review and reconcile insurance payments and denials, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, appealing claims as necessary to ensure maximum reimbursement.
- Respond to billing inquiries and resolve any billing-related issues or concerns raised by patients or insurance providers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance billing regulations, coding guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate and complete patient billing records.
Successful Candidates Will Possess:
- Previous experience in medical or insurance billing.
- Proficiency in medical billing software health records.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with insurance billing regulations and coding guidelines
- Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize

Compensation: The target amount for this role is $15-$22/hour. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise. The final candidate hired may potentially have less or more experience than originally posted as per job description, and if this happens, an updated range may be used for final hiring package.
