Job Description
Fort Wayne Neuropsychology (FWN) is seeking a professional and motivated individual to join our team as a Medical Insurance Specialist. This position involves a variety of duties including:
- Verifying insurance benefits and checking eligibility for initial appointments
- Obtaining prior authorization for neuropsychological testing
- Providing financial counseling for patients regarding payment options and helping them to understand their benefits/insurance coverage
- Collaborating with FWN office staff and our third-party billing company to ensure positive patient experiences as it relates to services and associated charges, while helping to facilitate prompt ability to file claims
We have a small, but fast-paced office that requires careful attention to detail, a strong ability to problem solve, a genuine desire to work as a team and the ability to multi-task. Above all else, it is essential for any applicant to have a pleasant, flexible and friendly demeanor both with colleagues and our patients.
A high school education is required, with previous experience in Medical Insurance pre-certification and strong computer skills preferred.

Experience:
- Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
