Hey there, Healthcare - Health Insurance Advisor extraordinaire! You've got a super cool gig at our nonprofit human services organization where you get to help folks enroll in Health Insurance face-to-face! You're like a superhero, swooping in to educate potential enrollees about the Marketplace and the different Health Insurance programs available.

But wait, there's more! You're also a pro at completing new and renewal Health Insurance applications and helping out with any gripes or grumbles folks might have about their health coverage. You travel to different Single Stop sites every day, building awesome relationships with site staff and hunting down uninsured clients like a champ!

And as if that wasn't enough, you also get to take part in training programs to stay on top of your game when it comes to public and private Health Insurance eligibility, applications, and enrollment. But that's not all, folks! You even get to lead educational workshops on topics like prescription drug coverage, over-the-counter drug discounts, Health Insurance options, and the Patients' Bill of Rights and Health Advocacy.

Oh, and let's not forget that you're the brains behind an annual, multi-pronged outreach plan to promote insurance literacy. You know your stuff when it comes to Health Insurance, and there's nothing better than using your mad skills to help people in need!

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS A HEALTHCARE - HEALTH INSURANCE ADVISOR JOB

• Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field OR an associate degree with several years of experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Computer skills
• Flexibility to work from different boroughs daily
• Ability to adjust work schedule and hours on short notice
• Experience with and commitment to working with low-income families and individuals
• Strong commitment and interest in health reform

Experience working with large or diverse client populations is preferred but not required. Do you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills? Can you manage your time well?
