Healthcare Billing Specialist

Description:

The medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, verifying insurance coverage, and submitting claims to insurance companies. You will handle patient billing inquires and ensure timely payment. This person will perform verification and accuracy checks for all assigned accounts including searching each carrier statement for any payment inconsistencies or errors, while making sure plan participants are being charged correctly. Strong attention to detail and the ability to research and follow-up by making sure corrections are identified and reported.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data - Strong Analytical and Advanced Excel Skills
• 3+ years in medical billing/hospital billing
• Demonstrates problem solving skills - Must apply critical thought
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills - Must clearly explain issues and present resolutions

Schedule:

40 hours per week; HYBRID Schedule. M-W In-Office; Thursday/Friday remote
