This position will manage staff assigned to grants supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and programs supported with other cancer control funding. The duties and responsibilities of the position will include: (1) Hiring, supervising, evaluating and providing direction and guidance to Health Systems and Survivorship staff within the Unit, (2) Providing oversight for the Colorectal Cancer Control, Young Breast Cancer Survivor, Lung Cancer Early Detection Program, and potential other programs within the Unit, 3) other duties as assigned.

Education
Possession of a master's degree in public health, health communication, health services administration, community development, urban planning, population and health sciences, international studies, political science, health policy or a public health related field such as nursing, epidemiology, health education, health economics, dietetics/nutrition management, genetics, or speech and audiology; a master's degree in public or business administration with a health care administration concentration; a master's degree in social work; master's degree in counseling, or master's degree in education or special education with specialization in blind/visual disabilities.
Experience
Five years of professional, post-master's experience as a consultant in a field of public health equivalent to a Public Health Consultant, including three years equivalent to a Public Health Consultant P11, two years equivalent to a Public Health Consultant 12, or one year equivalent to a Public Health Consultant 13.

Position Location/Remote Office: The physical location of this position is 320 S. Walnut St., Elliott-Larsen Building, 5-N, Lansing, MI 48933. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.
Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
