Essential Job Functions:
- Monitors work sites approximately 2-3 times per location annually, to maintain health and safety practices and policies while providing training and technical assistance and developing corrective action plans to ensure compliance
- Ability to notice and track trends – making compliance suggestions to Director
- Utilizes data and trends as it relates to licensing compliance, OSHA compliance, County Public Health Initiatives to develop and deliver training and resource documents
- Works collaboratively on occupational health, safety, and environmental audits.
- Provides ongoing education and compliance of staff by preparing and assisting the facilitation of training to maintain compliance. – 20 mm, CPR/First Aid, health ed, Preventative Health & Safety (16 hours), Bloodborne Pathogens, Medication admin, Asthma management, Diabetes management, Emergency & Disaster Preparedness
- Works collaboratively with identified agency leaders to support health and safety compliance action plans
- Participates in special projects as needed and provide observations and recommendations to support cross department efforts (Worker's comp/child injuries, etc)
- Develops Individualized Health Plans with Parents and center leaders for children with special medical needs
- Stays current on internal/external risks to centers: DSS regulation updates, OSHA, County/State Public Health issues/Viral Outbreaks, emergency & disaster prep, as well as a basic knowledge of CACFP policies and practices
Education and Experience:
Education
The MINIMUM formal relevant education required by the position.
- AA in an applicable field (Child/Human/Youth Development; Health Services; Nutrition; Business Administration or other related field)
Experience
The MINIMUM relevant experience necessary to qualify for the position. Experience in lieu of education is to be counted as part of formal Education and not as part of the required experience.
- 1-2 years’ experience in administrative support, data analysis, or related field
- 1 year of experience in training, technical assistance, and observation work required

- Ability to write clearly and communicate curriculum goals, instructions, and needs. Able to change writing style to meet the audience.
- Knowledge of current Health and Safety community care licensing regulations, knowledge of the Nutrition and Health needs of young children, and knowledge of the National Health and Safety Performance Standards/CalOSHA.
- Knowledge of current CSDD, CDE, and CACFP and state licensing policy and procedure regulations as well as a basic knowledge of CACFP policies and practices.
- Ability to provide feedback, using Health & safety tools.
- Ability to observe with a shared lens to support inter-rater reliability.
- Strong interest in health, safety compliance, with a proven record of results.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve results and success.
- Possesses excellent organizational skills in prioritizing heavy workload and handling multiple matters in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Reliable transportation for regional.
- Travel: 80% in centers (based on case load - potentially 90 locations per monitor).

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation: $26.64 - $39.95 hourly
