We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Information and Admissions Coordinator to join our team for our Katherine & Charles Hover Skilled Nursing Community. This is a unique role where you have the opportunity to meet with families and potential residents, as well as being hands on in the role of Medical Records. Experience in Medical Records is key in this role.
Built in 2019, our GreenHouses are small homes that provide long term care Skilled Nursing services for up to 12 residents per home (4 homes/48 residents).
The Health Information Coordinator maintains elder medical records and health information systems in accordance with current federal and state guidelines as well as in accordance with our community’s established privacy policies and procedures. As a dual role, you will also be responsible for Admissions at the GreenHouses Skilled Nursing Community and will assist the Campus Community Relations Director and the Nursing Home Administrator to provide customers, prospective residents, their families and referral sources with Hover Community specific information via networking; community tours – Conduct community tours for prosective residents and their families, providing information about services, amenities and care options.In a Green House nursing home following the Eden Alternative philosophy, our care team partner in envisioning, creating, and optimizing caring homes for meaningful lives. Requirements:- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- HIM Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in medical records/admissions in a Skilled Nursing setting or similar experience in a senior care or healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
- Ability and willingness to relate effectively with a variety of individuals.
- Desire to work with seniors in a residential setting.
- Ability to use the computer: Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Understand reimbursement regulations, practices, procedures, laws and guidelines relative to nursing facility administration.
- Understand and follow the Hover admission guidelines, criteria, policies, and procedures.
- Help Facilitate a smooth transition for residents during the move-in process coupled with ongoing follow-up to monitor both resident and family satisfaction.
- Ensure you maintain and protect the organization's reputation, enhance its prestige and present Hover as the senior living community of choice.
