Health Information Management (HIM) Scanning Specialist
This is a full-time, hourly position on UCHealth's HIM team based in the Denver Metro area. Position is primarily based at Anschutz Medical Center in Aurora; however, occasional travel among UCHealth facilities in Highlands Ranch, Broomfield, and Longmont may be required No guaranteed hours; schedule may vary. Performs clerical duties and technical skills associated with medical record scanning.
Job duties
Performs document preparation, scanning and indexing of medical records, and audits results for image quality and accuracy.
Assembles and maintains complete medical records.in F
Scans medical records accurately and timely.
Validates accuracy of scanned documentation.
Requirements
High School diploma or GED
1 year of experience in patient Health Information or medical records scanning
Preferred
Associate's degree
Certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy
Medical records scanning experience
The pay range for this position is: $19.10 - $24.83 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
