We are looking for a Health Information and Coding Manager to join the team of Dane County's longest-serving, independent, multi-specialty medical practice! With a long tenure in the community, they strive to deliver high-quality, cost-effective healthcare. In this role, you will lead and oversee the Health Information Management (HIM) and Coding Specialists to ensure regulatory and legal compliance. • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Oversee, direct, and leadHealth Information Management (HIM) and Coding Specialists and assist with training of new staff
• Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines, department and company policies and procedures, and workflows
• Work with leadership to standardize policies, procedures, workflows, and productivity/quality standards
• Report on key quality, service, and productivity indicators regularly
• Serve as a resource regarding current ICD and CPT systems, coding compliance and guidelines, and coding issues

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related discipline
• Background in Medical Coding and HIM Tech experience
• 1+ years of leadership experience in medical administration
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Information Administrator (RHIA), or similar certification preferred
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred
• Epic experience preferred
