Bizzell is seeking a Communications Specialist III who will be responsible for leading and executing communication strategies through our work with federal client, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Data Validation and Administrative Services (DVA) contract. The Communications Specialist III will serve as a subject matter expert on the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Program.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Lead the development of comprehensive communication strategies to enhance collaboration and information exchange among QIO Program contractors, health care providers and people with Medicare.
· Plan and execute impactful outreach and publication of communications activities, driving transparent and effective communication both internally and externally.
· Provide crucial support to the firm's Federal client's communications efforts, coordinating integrated strategies and producing compelling products such as newsletter content, stories, and publications for dissemination, ensuring the implementation of best practices.
· Develop, review, edit, and craft concepts for blog articles on the Quality Improvement Organizations (QIO) website, driving efforts to improve the quality of care provided to people with Medicare, in collaboration with CMS and QIO contractors.
· Collaborate closely with project managers to design complex communications strategies through learning infrastructure, ensuring seamless coordination in strategy development.
· Take ownership of strategy delivery, execution, and presentation to the client, attentively listening and interpreting their needs to ensure successful outcomes and client satisfaction.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proficient content knowledge in quality improvement within health care field as well as intended audiences for which documents and blog articles are being written.
· Provide support and guidance to mentor junior staff in meeting the client’s needs.
· Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and/or public relations activities for both digital and traditional styles.
· Basic understanding of web-based platforms.
· Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and personal skills.
· Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
· Proficient in word processing, database management, and page layout.
· Ability to thrive in a matrix style environment.
· Excellent relationship management skills.
· Strong oral and written communications skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Excel.
· Proficient knowledge and understanding of email marketing tools, such as Constant Contact.
· Understanding of content management systems, such as Google Analytics, and data dashboards.
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, public health, or similar field preferred.
· Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations with demonstrated success in health care or public health.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
