Daily Responsibilities:
- Manage On Site Safety (OSS) employees at multiple locations.
- Assist in developing proposals.
- Assist general contractors and subcontractors to implement effective safety programs.
- Initiate and audit high risk work permits (e.g., crane operations, work at heights, confined space entries, hot work, excavations)
- Provide jobsite safety orientation and oversee subcontractor safety performance.
- Present and train on a variety of example topics such as new technology / OSHA regulated subjects, fall protection, electrical, excavation / trenching to local and U.S associations such as MACSC, ABC, ACCNJ, AGC, safety councils and captive insurance events.
- Conduct routine (daily and weekly) jobsite safety inspections
- Project Manage direct reports and other CMI departments with effective and organized communication including project detail and logistics.
- Mentor/coach contractors and employees in safe work practices
- Manage a growing department. Ability to manage 2-15 employees- oversee 1099, W-2 and subcontractors' team members.
- Scheduling, cost analysis and managing budgets.
- Ability to work cross functionally with sales & marketing, contractors, sub-contractors, trainers and clients.

What you need to succeed in this role:
- Education: B.S. in Occupational Health and Safety required
- Experience: minimum of 7 years of Construction Safety experience
- Ability to Manage Direct Employees
- Project Management Skills
- Ability to Interpret Contracts / Terms & Conditions
- Microsoft Expert (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong Technical Writing Skills
- Strong Presentation Skills
- Potential Weekend work (1 weekend per month) or as needed.
- 50+ hour work week expected.
- Travel: Ability to get to and from work site 5 days/week.
- Ability to climb ladders, walk on all terrains for up to 8 hours per day, able to lift up to 30lbs.
