UNC Asheville invites applications for the position of Head Coach, Women’s Basketball. This position reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the intercollegiate women’s basketball program. The Head Women’s Basketball Coach at UNC Asheville will lead a competitive NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball program that aligns with the athletic department strategic plan. The ideal candidate will exhibit our core values of servant leadership, dedication, excellence, and inclusion. Also, the individual will be passionate about working in college athletics and developing students into champions and leaders in the classroom, in the community, and on the court with our current resources.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five to eight years of successful collegiate coaching or professional playing experience.
- Proven experience working with and improving the performance of student athletes.
- Demonstrated successful leadership experience.
- Track record of strong commitment to a positive student-athlete experience and ensuring student-athlete welfare is paramount.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Previous collegiate coaching experience.
- Experience as a Division I student-athlete.
