Head Varsity Boys Cross Country Coach (Ths)

The Pittsfield Public School District is seeking applicants for the position of Head Varsity Boys Cross Country Coach at Taconic High School.
This is a stipend position is for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is not eligible for benefits.
Candidates will be responsible for teaching fundamental distance running techniques; organizing effective practices for runner development; managing meets and team workouts, with emphasis on conditioning and strength training; managing equipment inventory; completing MIAA required coaching workshops and complying with MIAA rules
Job Requirements
Ability to maintain a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the schools; ability to provide leadership and instruction to athletes; excellent communication skills; ability to work effectively with students and staff; ability to convey messages of sportsmanship, work ethic and commitment to one's team.
Previous coaching at the high school level preferred.
Season runs late August through early November 2024.
