This is an Annual appointment for 3 years in duration.

This position is covered by IFO Collective Bargaining Agreement. The full salary range for positions under this agreement can be found in Article 11, Section S.

  • Leadership, operation and management of the MSUM Soccer Program in accordance with University, Conference and NCAA rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Duties include but are not limited to scheduling, recruiting, practice planning/organizing, budgeting, supervising assistants, public relations, departmental fundraising, and camps.
  • Teach Courses in the Health and Physical Education Department.
  • Other Administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of college coaching or 5 years High School or club coaching within the past 8 years with a proven record of success.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and support student-athletes athletically, academically, and socially.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach physical education skills courses and or basic health courses.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success working with students of diverse backgrounds including sensitivity to their needs and concerns.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related area.
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division II recruiting rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy of NCAA Division II athletics and student-athlete experience.
  • Familiarity with the central region and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
  • Ability to fund raise.
Other Requirements
  • The successful candidate must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins. The University regrets that we are unable to offer H1-B sponsorship at this time.
  • Official transcript(s) from all degree-granting institutions must be provided to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first duty day.
  • In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, faculty and staff driving on college/university business, who use a rental or state vehicle, shall be required to complete a vehicle Use Agreement form and conform to Minnesota State College and Universities vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check.
