Headlines
Team : People Team (part of Global Business Support)
Location : New York. Remote working supported, around 10-20% on-site requirement with ability to commute into the New York office when necessary
Full time : 37.5 hours per week. Flexible hours and working options welcomed - please state this in your application.
Salary Range : We would like to pay $110,000 - $150,000 for this role depending on experience
Reporting to : Chief of Staff

London, New York and Manchester offices and working with over 600 arts organizations in
North America and the UK.
The Role
People are at the heart of everything we do at Spektrix. Our People Team are the trusted
partners that provide the business with the policies, guidance and support that enable teams to be high performing and individuals to be well supported throughout their careers at Spektrix.
They form part of the wider Global Business Support Team, which works with our Senior
Leaders and helps to design the vision for evolving our culture. The People Team is key in
driving forward initiatives that support those strategies.

As we grow, we now need to make a step change in how we think about and invest in our
People function operationally. We’re working really hard to build our capability, and we want to
do more.
The People Team Managers in the team play key roles in the operational delivery of the People
function. They also hold accountabilities which are supported directly by members of the Senior
Management Team. Such as Compensation and Benefits, Line Management and DEI. You will
lead the People team, ensuring they are line managed effectively while they own their
accountability streams (supported by the relevant SMT sponsor).
The Head of People Operations will be the leader who owns, lives and breathes the
Operational Excellence journey . Critically, you will be accountable for delivering change and
transformation in the People Operations space, as well as acting as a partner to our US team on
People/HR related matters.
This is a new role that will make an impact across the business, driving improvements and
efficiencies across our People Operations, systems and tools. . You'll be working globally and
partnering with the business to drive continuous improvement and high performance, while also
leading the day to day support of the US Spektrix team on People/HR related areas.
Key Responsibilities
Key accountabilities:
Ensure the ongoing development, improvement and implementation of operational suppliers, procedures, tools, systems and ways of working to build the People Operations toolkit, including improving efficiency and automation of tasks.
Ensure the continued support, guidance and oversight of the Spektrix team’s people needs.
Ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements and that we’re staying abreast of federal, state, global, and other regulations related to employment compliance and policies across our operating countries.
Ensure effective measurements are in place for the evaluation and continuous improvement of what the People Team delivers.
Ensure effective management and resourcing of the People Team, ensuring team members are well equipped, informed and supported to work effectively.
Ensure collaboration with all relevant stakeholders across the business
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery and ongoing support of our new HRIS platform and related operational improvements across our People Operations.
Business partner and point of contact to the US team for People/HR related issues and questions.
Own relationship with ADP in the US and other key business partners where appropriate, and leverage existing tools to support the changing needs of the business
Key leadership role within the wider Business Support Team (working with leads from across Finance, Business Operations, IT)
Key Requirements
Requirements
Strong HR Operations background with a proven track record of project managing and implementing workflow improvements
Proven technical understanding of end-to-end People processes, systems, HR policies, and procedures
Demonstrated experience leading People Services, developing and managing operations and people to serve the business and its team members
Articulate with good written and verbal communication skills, and good eye for detail.
Open to feedback with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of their work. Comfortable in providing feedback and positive challenge to others
Strong relationship building skills with the ability to communicate and liaise at all levels remotely and in person
About You
You will be a subject matter expert in People operations and excellence, with strong stakeholder and project management skills. You must be able to work within ambiguity and influence change within a fast-paced international business.
You’ll be excited about delivering impact in a fast growing, mission-driven business, working directly with a senior leadership team.
You want to take on a role where you can put your mind to a variety of different tasks, such as solving urgent issues, introducing new processes, determining success metrics, etc.
You’ll be willing to adapt to learn new things, and to quickly turn your hand to whatever needs doing.
You’ll be able to lead a team of People managers with empathy and clarity, and be comfortable with managing team members based in the UK.
You’ll be comfortable handling confidential and sensitive matters.
Hybrid Working & Travel
You are expected to be in the office for at least 2-3 days per week.
Note that you will be required to carry out some international travel to our UK offices to connect with the wider team

Working from home We aim to be as flexible as possible when it comes to working setups and lots of our team work from home on a regular basis. This means we generally work with a “remote first” approach even when we are in the office.
We’ll provide reasonable support and all the hardware you need to get started, but we do require that you have the following already in place for a good home working set up:
A quiet working space at home where you can consistently take video calls without interruptions
An internet connection that supports your participation in video calls and access to our systems and service.
Traveling into the New York office (commuting) is at your own expense, any travel for business (other than commuting) will be covered by Spektrix.
