Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join our team and lead our financial operations. The Head of Finance will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, planning, and analysis to support the company's growth objectives. This individual will oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of financial principles and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective management of the company's financial resources and alignment with business objectives.
Lead the annual budgeting process, including revenue forecasting, expense planning, and capital allocation, in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making, including investment evaluations, cost-benefit analysis, and profitability assessments.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior management, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze key financial metrics and performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial performance and ensure compliance with debt covenants and other financial obligations.
Oversee financial accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance.
Establish and maintain effective internal controls and risk management practices to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel to support financial audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
Lead and mentor a team of Finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in the media or entertainment industry.
Proven track record of strategic financial planning, budgeting, and analysis in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, spreadsheet analysis, and financial management software.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on team building, talent development, and collaboration.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to thrive in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
