MISAKY:

Misaky.Tokyo is a luxury sweets brand started in 2019 in Los Angeles. We make vegan, gluten-free, and additive-free confectionery that looks like crystals to create a more sustainable and equal world.

Although it’s been only two years since our establishment, we’ve collaborated with Kim Kardashian’s fragrance brand, we were the only Asian brand selected as vendors for the Oscars and Emmy Eve parties, and have 1M+ followers on Tiktok.

Our parent company is called Cashi Cake Inc.

We have two brands below this. Misaky Tokyo and OoMee. This position will be for our new launch brand, OoMee.

OoMee is a first in the market, marine-plant based fruit infused drink which supports your gut health. We are expanding out from Misaky Tokyo’s successful sweets business into beverage market using the same seaweed ingredients.

[Position Overview]

Head of Finance is a key senior role responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization. As a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, the Head of Finance plays a crucial role in shaping the financial direction and long-term sustainability of the company. In this start up environment your role will be extremely hands on as we establish true financial literacy for a growing company.Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance.
• Financial Reporting:
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Communicate financial results to the board, executive team, and stakeholders.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads.
• Conduct financial forecasting to support decision-making and resource allocation.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company's assets.
• Establish and monitor internal controls and financial policies.
• Capital Management:
• Optimize capital structure and manage cash flow efficiently.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial analysis.
• Financial Operations:
• Oversee accounting, treasury, and finance functions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
• Assess the financial impact of business decisions and proposed ventures.
• Relationship Management:
• Cultivate relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and stakeholders.
• Represent the company in financial matters to external partners.
• Team Leadership:
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Head of Finance or senior finance role.
• Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• MBA in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA or CFA certification is a plus.

Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
