We’re looking for an experienced Head of CorporateEvents and Community to lead the development and execution of in-person events across our organization. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role is pivotal in shaping our culture and helping the team achieve its company wide objectives and covers everything from enhancing our brand to ensuring the right conversations are happening at the right time.
This person will be working both on a strategic level and as the individual executing on this important work so a willingness to get their hands dirty in making things happen is key. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful event management, exceptional organizational skills, and a knack for creating engaging experiences that resonate with both internal teams and industry leaders.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive annual events strategy to engage employees, stakeholders, and industry partners.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously innovate our event experiences.
Drive alignment across the business on which event opportunities should be funded and work closely with finance and accounting to ensure costs are understood and appropriately attributed.
Lead the planning, coordination, and management of internal event logistics, from conceptualization to execution, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, budget development and management, and on-site event management. These are sizable multi-function touchpoints such as hackathons, quarterly planning meetings (Adaptation), sales kickoff meetings (SKO), cross-functional retreats and at least one company wide retreat per year.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure event content aligns with company goals, brand messaging, and executive expectations.
Measure event success and provide post-event analysis, budget recaps, and participant feedback to guide future event strategies.
Serve as the point of contact for executives at events, ensuring client needs are met.
Regularly travel to event sites to oversee execution and engage with participants and stakeholders.
90 Day Plan
Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:
Connect with and establish strong relationships across our leadership team
Get to know Virta’s treatment, outcomes, and data as well as the Events and connection needs of those you’ll support. Focus groups are recommended
Take on ownership of the cross functional and multi team events that are in-flight at the time of your hire.
Put forth an events strategy and budget for the first half of the year.
Must-Haves
A minimum of 8 years of experience in event strategy and execution, preferably in a senior role.
Proven ability to manage complex in person and hybrid events from start to finish with a hands-on approach.
Strong leadership skills and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple events simultaneously.
Willingness to travel regularly to various event locations.
Proficiency in event management software and tools.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
