New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a Head Nurse (RN/BSN) to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role you will:

As the Head Nurse in the Oncology/Hematology infusion center, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing responsibilities during each shift. This includes assigning patient assignments, managing medication orders, and training new hires. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for both staff and patients, and providing efficient, timely, and knowledgeable care that prioritizes patient satisfaction.

It is crucial that you embody and reinforce these values with your staff at all times. By leading by example, you will ensure that the highest standards of care are upheld in the Oncology/Hematology infusion center.

We require: 

• Current NYS RN license required.
• 2 years minimum Experience as an RN in an Oncology setting preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred 
• Excellent leadership skills
• Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff and other health care professionals.
• Proficiency in Healthcare electronic records.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Salary up to $135,000/annually.
