Job Details
Operational:
· Possess total knowledge of the Beverage Operations
· Supervise the bar and fully ensure that company standards are met.
· Work 3 days a week bartending and 2 days a week doing ordering and any other admin responsiblities.
· Work directly with the bar staff using a hands-on management approach.
· Ensure that the bar is always staffed with enough bartenders or plan to cover.
· Ensure that cocktail recipes are followed according to company standards.
· Ensure that all bar staff are familiar with the Toast/POS system onboard.
· Conduct training for new bar staff.
· Improve and standardize bar service.
· Conduct all necessary training, utilizing on the job training to develop each individual to the required level of service standards
· Ensure that all bar Staff work according to the established schedules and stations.
· Ensure that bar par levels are maintained.
· Make constant spot checks for cleanliness.
· Perform bar inventories and random par level spot checks.
· Place all inventory and bar supply orders each week
· Ensure that bar displays and set ups are arranged according to standards.
· Ensure that all staff follows the correct uniform attire and procedures.
· Notify manager of any issues.
· Understand, apply and conform to all DOH standards and regulations.
· Inspect all designated bars before closing and ensure that they are ready for any DOH inspection.
· Report all equipment malfunctions to the Manager and Owner
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a bartender;
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean;
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills;
- Excellent knowledge of wine, beer, liquor and cocktails;
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
