HDL Design and Verification Intern
Impinj is the market leader and world's #1 provider of RAIN RFID systems and we are growing our team to extend our leadership in cutting-edge products. We are looking for an HDL Design and Verification intern to join the Impinj engineering team to work on the next generation of tag and reader chips. We are a fun, passionate team of seasoned engineers that value and celebrate teamwork and collaboration. The verification and design engineer will:
- Work with stakeholders from Product Engineering and Silicon Engineering divisions and collaborate with software, firmware, hardware, and systems engineers to deliver critical development infrastructure solutions and product features.
- Work on multiple aspects of tag endpoint and reader chip designs including development of emulation platforms, creation and integration of behavioral and functional models, and implementation/test of feature enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Working knowledge of an HDL coding language (SystemVerilog preferred)
- Working knowledge of a scripting language (Python preferred)
- Experience with RTL simulation and synthesis for FPGA targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with the model-based design paradigm
- Experience with static timing analysis and timing closure
- Course work or experience in digital signal processing
- Experience with the Cocotb Python cosimulation environment
Compensation and Benefits:
The typical base pay range for this internship is $26-40HR. Internship base pay depends on the level of education currently achieved. Interns working more than 20 hours per week also have access to healthcare benefits, free parking at our Seattle office, and a 401k with company match.
