FLSA Classification: Non Exempt, Part Time
Salary Range: $14 - $18/hr DOQ
Reports to: Assistant Facility Manager/Recreation Superintendent

Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Facility Manager/Recreation Superintendent, the Facility Attendant is directly responsible for cleaning and upkeep of facility.
Essential Duties

- Report to the Assistant Facility Manager/Recreation Superintendent any repairs and supplies needed
- Inspect all rooms, equipment, and supplies for any hazard or safety concerns
- Maintain all records, reports and checklists as requested
- Conduct a walk through every 30 minutes to ensure cleanliness throughout facility
- Clean up any spills, smells, or garbage
- Supervise open gym programs
- Execute effective emergency procedures as needed
- Maintain pertinent procedures in opening and closing the facility
- Sets up and tear down rooms for events and activities
- Maintain cleanliness outside of the building
- Shovel and salt walks during snow and icy conditions
- Work special events as requested from Facility Manager

May include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Work Environment
Employee’s general work area indoors is a smoke-free environment with controlled temperature and fluorescent lighting. Employee may be exposed to noise distractions from employees, participants, or equipment operation in adjacent work areas. Employee may be required to work outdoors during various weather conditions, including cold and hot temperatures.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands, to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, and in sometimes bend/stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and sometimes lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Education and Experience
Some high school coursework preferred
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Must be at least 16 years of age or older
CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Bilingual preferred
