Harbor Master

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the harbor
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Monitor and enforce harbor rules and regulations
- Coordinate and schedule vessel traffic within the harbor
- Provide guidance and assistance to boaters and marina staff
- Conduct inspections of vessels, docks, and facilities for maintenance and safety purposes
- Manage harbor maintenance projects, repairs, and upgrades
- Respond to emergencies and incidents within the harbor
- Maintain accurate records of harbor activities, including vessel registrations, permits, and fees

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a maritime or harbor management role is preferred
- Strong leadership and management skills to effectively oversee harbor operations
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and address equipment issues as needed
- Excellent communication skills to interact with boaters, staff, and other stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of local regulations, laws, and safety protocols related to harbors and boating activities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed
