11:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Organizational Relationship
or Line of Authority: Directly responsible to the building principal and/or his/her designee
Statement of Duties:
- Monitor halls between and during classes.
- Frequently checks restrooms.
- Checks student passes.
- Effective communication skills in reporting any suspicious activity to building administrators, main office and/or Security Specialists.
- Ability to treat all students with dignity and respect
- Exercises considerable discretion in the management of and protection and release of confidential information of both student and staff and in the interpretation and administration of policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned by the Principal and or his/her designee.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma/GED.
- Bilingual preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively with adults and children.
- Communicates with students and staff in a positive and professional manner utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Physically able to perform duties as assigned at sufficient speed.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time including climbing stairs.
- Judgment, diplomacy, and tact are fundamental requirements for this role due to extensive personal contact with students
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the building principal or his/her designee may find appropriate and acceptable.
