The Guideline Development Project Manager will demonstrate a commitment to using evidence-based practice for promoting optimal patient care with the ultimate goal of enhanced clinical outcomes and lower costs. This position oversees the development of evidence-based guidelines and clinical decision support tools, including transition of these tools into the electronic medical record where appropriate. This position leads the multidisciplinary, content expert teams that review research evidence for translation into actionable practice recommendations. The Guideline Development Project Manager acts as a change agent by promoting a culture of value-based care and evidence-based practice at MUSC through educational endeavors.

Additional Job Description
Master's degree in health related field (e.g., MS, MPH, MLIS, MHA) with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in healthcare required. Teaching and curriculum development work experience required. Clinical expertise in Evidence Based Practice (EBP) tool development and implementation strategies, and a strong background in epidemiology/ research methodology strongly preferred. Clinical background preferred but not required. Candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Computer/internet skills and familiarity with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc.) essential. Experience with a statistical software package (STATA, SAS, Minitab) preferred.
