PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
Keep the Director or Manager informed on all pertinent information related to the department and report irregularities and problems as they occur, and document situations as they occur.
Knowledgeable of and enforces department and hotel standards to reach business and property goals.
Perform various administrative tasks including but not limited to preparing and distributing reports, and working directly with guests.
Supervise the daily operation of the concierge, activities and pool attendant teams including human resources responsibilities, and staffing levels to ensure maximum efficiency, and respond to guest service interactions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Able to lead and mentor a team.
Proficiency in computer software including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outgoing, theatrical, service-oriented personality
- Must be able to work safely outdoors in Florida's hot climate for 8 hours or more
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs or more
- Able to have a flexible work schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
PREFERRED:
One (1) year of managerial experience
- Prior recreation experience in a resort environment
- Experience or training in running programs and events for kids and groups
