SalaryThe Chattanooga Zoo is looking for exceptional and enthusiastic Guest Experience Attendants.
Our Guest Experience Attendants rotate among the Chattanooga Zoo experiences including Zoo Choo Train, Camel Feedings, Petting Zoo, Facility Rentals and more. This position provides excellent customer service to our guests and visitors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform cashier duties for guests purchasing Zoo experiences
- Assist guests with camel, alpaca and giraffe feeding experience
- Assist guests onto the train. Drive train along zoo path as directed
- Assist guests onto and off of the carousel
- Set-up and tear-down before and after rentals and events
- Provide assistance to rental participants
- Attend animal handling and safety training
- Maintain work areas; perform routine maintenance and housekeeping as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in customer service and with cash handling preferred
- Any combination of equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position will be considered

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently. This position requires standing, walking, climbing bending, stooping and lifting/holding a majority of the time
Physical Environment:
This position requires constant movement across zoo grounds for the majority of the work day
This position is routinely exposed to external elements which include heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid and extreme weather conditions. Personal protective equipment is frequently required
