Job description

SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities in the Club/Cage Department are performed accurately and efficiently, in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions, and established company policies, procedures and controls.

  • Responsible for supervising the Club/Cage area ensuring smooth, efficient, service is provided to customers and employees.
  • Accesses funds and ensures prompt distribution to appropriate areas of property.
  • Assists Club/Cage Manager and Assistant Manager with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, which enable the Club/Cage to function more effectively.
  • Maintains adequate staffing levels in the Club/Cage, by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining and terminating Employees, as needed.
  • Ensures the integrity of all financial data produced by Employees under his/her span of control.
  • Monitors all financial activities on property, which relate to the Cage, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the company, the Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming Commission are enforced throughout the property.
  • Assists with the coordination of audits relating to bank boards, customer deposits and rotation logs.
  • Assists the Club/Cage Employees in understanding the complexities of certain responsibilities within the department.
  • Facilitates the flow of information, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Registers new guest into our Players Club membership at the Club/Cage Counter and prints club cards.
  • Assist customers when their accounts are locked out.
  • Assist Shift Managers and Casino Host, as needed, with customer related matters.
  • Issues complimentaries for customers when appropriate level of play has been established
  • Provides smooth, courteous and efficient guest service in the execution of assigned duties including but not limited to greeting guest, attending guest at the club/cage area, assist guest with complaints, assist guest on the casino floor area and promotes club membership.
  • Assists with Casino promotions, buses and special events, as needed.
  • Issues free play to club members up to authorized limits.
  • Resolves minor customer conflicts, which relate to the department, or guides the Guest to appropriate staff to resolve the issue.
  • Assist Shift Managers and Casino Host, as needed, with customer related matters.
  • Highly responsible for complying with Title 31 including but not limited to checking pre filled forms being submitted, filling out proper forms, tracking guest, retrieve valid identification and social security number as needed. Also, fills out Suspicious Activity Reports if a situation calls for it and insures delivery to appropriate staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Guest Service Host are properly trained and fulfilling assigned duties efficiently and effectively.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises the activities of all Employees in the Cage on assigned shift.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED required. Some college courses in Banking and Finance or related area preferred.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of one-year experience in casino credit operations or related area required. Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be extremely numbers-oriented.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.

While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The Employee is regularly required to stand, for long periods of time, at the Cage counter.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The Employee is regularly exposed to risk of radiation (from computers), as a great deal of the workday is spent working on spreadsheets or inputting data into the computer system.
