GuacAmigos is an exciting authentic Mexican food concept in the heart of beautiful Newport Beach along the waterfront.The restaurant combines a breezy, upscale casual atmosphere with bold Mexican flavors and bursts of colorful Latin accents within. Position Summary

The Host is the first and last impression our Guests experience, making this position one of the most important roles in the restaurant. The Host warmly welcomes all Guests as they enter the restaurant, promptly seats them at tables, monitors the timing of table turns, and thanks the Guests for their visit as they leave the restaurant. If a Guest needs anything during their visit, the Host should be available and happy to help!

Position Responsibilities:

• Open the door for every Guest and welcome them in a warm, friendly, and genuine manner.
• Give first time Guests a restaurant tour.
• Ensure complete Guest satisfaction before Guests leave and inform a manager if not.
• Accurately quote wait times.
• Must know all food, liquor, beer and wine offered.
• Adhere to timing standards for products and service.
• Apply positive suggestive sales approaches to guide Guests on making food and beverage choices.
• Assist with keeping the restaurant spotlessly clean, safe, and sanitary.
• Answer all phone calls within 3 rings using the proper answering procedures, taking accurate phone messages for the Manager when necessary.
• Assist other Team Members whenever possible.
• Maintain spotlessly clean menus and promotional materials.
• Complete the daily and weekly cleaning duties.
• Assist with pre-bussing tables.
• Operate POS terminals.
• Take accurate to-go orders.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be able to make guests smile and have an enjoyable experience!
• Must have clear written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a team environment. Must smile and have an upbeat & outgoing personality.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages (may vary by state).
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to responsibly handle cash and electronic payment transactions.
• Must be able to consolidate and coordinate needs for all tables within their station.
• Must be able to carry food and beverages.
• Must be able to work in a team environment. Be able to stand and walk for up to ten or more hours and navigate throughout the restaurant, be able to lift 10-30 pounds, use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists.
• Must be able to visibly discern cleanliness, safety, seating and service needs of our guests.
• Hours may vary. Team members must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
