How will you make a difference?
The Components Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for providing overall financial guidance, controllership and operational insight to the Freight Components P&L. This position will require the ability to translate concepts, develop strategy, and be a recognized agent of change. The Components CFO will create financial programs responsive to the external environment and participate in cross-functional business and cultural development
What do we want to know about you?
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics and / or CPA
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial and/or operational experience for a large company
- 8+ years of leadership experience
- Strong commercial and/or operating experience
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration and/or CPA
- Knowledge of accounting policy and practices
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, leadership skills and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization
- Strong collaboration working cross functions
- Established analytical ability
What will your typical day look like?
- Strong partnership / thought leadership with Components operational and commercial leaders
- Own all planning cycles including developing estimates, operating plans / forecasts / reviews / reports, including STRAP (5-year plan), and Budget (annual operating plan)
- Overall financial responsibility for the for P&L which includes ~$1.5B
- Lead a team of 10+ direct reports, and an extended team of ~90 Finance professionals, across various sites and geographies
- Consolidate financial & operating metrics across Components business units, analyzing key drivers of results; identify risks and opportunities, as well as actions to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities
- Prepare and lead reviews with senior management, providing clear and concise information and analysis for the entire P&L
- Drive standardization & process improvements in financial planning and reporting across both the finance and operating teams
- Drive and facilitate new initiatives and to accurately capture the changing economics or structure of the business
- Key, collaborative partner across Finance staff, including Supply Chain, Services and Digital/Electronics.
