Group Dog Walker

Since 2005 East Bay Pet Care LLC has provided professional pet care to clients in Lafayette and surrounding communities. We have cultivated a remarkable client base built on mutual respect, honor, trust, reverence, and confidentiality. We service Lafayette, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, and nearby communities.

The position:

• Professional Dog Walker/pet sitter with the opportunity to also help East Bay Pet Care with your talents. 
• If you have a passion for photography, graphic design, journalism, research, marketing, administration, technology, or community engagement, we encourage you to share your talents with us as we continue to grow our business. 
• Most staff members start 15-20 hours weekly, but opportunities can grow from there as you share your talents with us!

Currently, available shifts are:

• 3x days per week, ideally, MON/WED/THU. Depending on client demand and staffing, you may have other optional work opportunities.
• Shifts run 5-6 hours per day. Each day would consist of two off-leash outing groups (morning and afternoon). 
• Additional earning opportunities to help out when other staff members are away or extra drop-in dog walks or pet sitting. 
• Our operating hours are 7am to 6pm. Most Group Dog walking occurs during the business day.

Compensation:

$18 - $25 / hour (starting at $18-$22 per hour base pay before client gratuity)

$180 - $600 / week

• During the paid orientation period, you will be compensated at $17 per hour. Training may last 4-6 weeks based on your prior experience, performance, and tasks assigned (on-leash or off-leash dog walks).
• Paid remote learning from home. Incorporating videos, tutorials, and quizzes from Fetchfind.
• Client gratuity
• Mileage reimbursements of sixty-five cents per mile.
• Monthly cell phone stipend is twenty-five dollars.

The responsibilities:

• Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's dogs 
• Follow the client-provided care instructions, including training preferences
• Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's pets
• Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch
• Share your passion and talents with us as we continue to grow East Bay Pet Care.
• Contribute to the team effort by working as a team player
• Practice time management to ensure on-time arrivals for all assigned
