Gardner-Webb University is looking to hire a full-time grounds technician. As a member of of team, this individual will be responsible to operate gas powered equipment including but not limited to; mowers, weed eaters, edgers, trimmers, tractors, and blowers. The technician will also working outdoors the majority of their work week which in addition to operating equipment will also be tasked with manual labor task such as planting flowers, picking up trash, spreading mulch and pine straw. Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs. on occasions. There will be times of prolonged standing, walking, and riding lawn equipment and must have a full range of motion to operate gas powered equipment. Employees in this job classification are designated as essential employees and must report to work as scheduled when University offices are closed due to severe weather.
