Gardener/Groundskeeper

A private family seeks meticulous all-around Gardener/Groundskeeper. This newly created position requires somebody familiar with North Carolina landscaping practices and willing to work closely with management and homeowner to implement a maintenance plan for the property. Certification and experience working on a private estate most helpful.

Experience & Qualifications:

· Minimum three years of experience as a Gardener/Groundskeeper.

· Familiarity with private estate work is preferred.

· Able to safely use hand and power tools.

· Coordinate with property maintenance vendors for direct support and supervision.

· Maintain detailed records of property maintenance activities.

· Schedule and supervise fertilization, aeration, and seasonal pruning for lawns and flower beds with property maintenance vendor.

· Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation and landscape lighting systems, performing repairs, cleaning and adjustments as needed.

· Provide expertise for planting projects, plant selection, and deer deterrent measures.

· Solve garden issues creatively and support maintenance during inclement seasons.

· Supervise and Supplement weekly pool care company.

· Research and implement best practices.

· Service-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills.

· Demonstrates independent problem-solving and a willingness to learn.

· Punctual, dedicated, and highly detail oriented.

· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Comfortable with working outside year-round.

· Knowledge of computer software programs.

· Current unencumbered North Carolina driver’s license.

· Ability to pass a background check and DMV check.

The Gardener / Groundskeeper will assist in performing skilled work in the following areas: landscape maintenance, lawn care, plant health, seasonal planting, hardscape maintenance, irrigation, equipment maintenance, and maintaining outdoor structures. This position will be responsible for resolving emergency situations and ensuring that assignments are completed in a safe, proper, and timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
