Groundskeeper
Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform corrective and scheduled maintenance in various craft disciplines as well as outside grounds work. Work may involve the use of diverse maintenance skills and knowledge depending on the specific assignment to be performed. Performs related work as directed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Grounds work: mowing, trimming, lay mulch, leaf clean up.
- Painting athletic fields.
- Repair irrigation systems.
- Snow plowing and salt spreading on sidewalks and parking lots
- Moving of tables, chairs, furniture, etc.
- Ability to use a computer for maintenance work order system, email, and file sharing.
- Ability to operate various machinery and power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on mowers and other power equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical procedures, governmental regulations and building blueprints.
- Basic electrical skills.
- Basic plumbing skills.
- May be required to carry an emergency on-call phone
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to plan and organize.
- Practical problem solving skills and decision making.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Knowledge of and experience with maintenance and operation of buildings is preferred.
- Understanding of Google platform.

Terms Rate of pay to be determined by the School Board.
