Full Job Description

Summary

As a vital role to the Grounds Team here at Overbrook, a Greenskeeper is responsible for the maintenance and care of the golf course and grounds under the supervision of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents. No experience required! We are willing to train and progress motivated associates.

Responsibilities

Working with the team performing all aspects involved with the maintenance of the golf course and grounds. To include, but not limited to the following:

• Performs general golf course maintenance using walking and riding mowers.
• Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
• Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
• Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
• Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up).
• Assists with golf course set-up procedures.
• Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
• Learn to maintain fuel and fluid levels for all equipment used on a daily basis; reports equipment problems or failure to the equipment manager immediately.
• Learn to refuel and wash equipment after each use and return it to designated location at the maintenance facility
• Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Possess a valid driver’s license

• Hardworking, reliable, and self-motivating
• Reliable source of transportation to get to and from work

Education

• High School graduate

Physical Demands

• Physical demands are required for this position including heavy lifting and manual labor
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and perform strenuous physical tasks under a variety of conditions
• From time to time, employee will be required to work in inclement weather, including but not limited to sun exposure, summer heat, and rainy conditions
• Standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping, sitting, repetitive movement.

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Experience:

• Landscape maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
