Grill Cook

The Food Service Worker is responsible for food preparation, cooking, cleaning, stocking, organizing, and providing excellent customer service. Note that this role requires working in shifts and, occasionally, during evenings or weekends. Ultimately, you’ll help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Food & Beverage Preparation : Assisting with food preparation such as grilling.
• Sales Service : Engage with and provide superior service to all customers. Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies. Communicate with customers regarding orders, comments, and complaints.
• Transporting Food & Beverage: Transport food and beverage to its designated area to help with catering, hot food drop off locations, etc.
• Teamwork : Contribute to a positive team environment. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments. Identify alarms or changes in morale and performance. Maintain calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to set a positive example for the team.
• Merchandise : Organize and stock supplies, service stations and products. Rotate products and stock grab-and-go items throughout shift to increase sales. Follow-up placement protocols to optimize customer sales.
• Safety & Sanitation : Follow operational policies and procedures. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines. Clean, sanitize and organize work areas, utensils, and equipment. Clean service and seating areas. Scrub and polish counters, tables, and other equipment. Perform other duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes, to keep equipment and facilities sanitary.

Qualifications

• 1 year of food service experience required. Strong food prep and grilling skills preferred.
• Food/Beverage Production — Knowledge of techniques and equipment for preparing, serving, storing and handling food and beverage products.
• Mathematics — Ability to add and subtract, charging appropriately and distributing change to customers.
• Suggestive Selling or Influencing Others — Suggesting others to buy merchandise/goods or to otherwise change their minds or actions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
