Job Description

Vericast is looking to add a Graphic Specialist to the team! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately interpreting custom designs and layouts supplied by customers and call center representatives. This will require you to scan, load, and manipulate
graphics as needed. As Graphic Specialist you will assist with marketing projects that include building templates for new product designs and preparing images for retail catalogs and web applications.

On any given day, you will:

• Utilize graphic applications including Adobe Illustrator Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, OneForm and Mecca 2000 to prepare production art that is compatible with electronic prepress output devices. Tasks include:
  • Retrieve and manage electronic images received through various box locations.
  • Scan adjust or recreate customer supplied illustrations for the use in check/form layout design.
  • Uploads and performs back-up maintenance on electronic images.
  • Create or revise custom layouts based on customer supplied specifications.
  • Create single or multi-color .pdf proofs.
  • Send plate files to appropriate output devices.
  • Manage incoming / outgoing calls with customers to clarify product specifications and discuss appropriate artwork preparation and submission.
• Design and build templates for custom / print-on-demand product designs.Tasks include:
  • Retrieving original stock files from 3rd party vendor.
  • Recreate custom templates in Illustrator.
• Participate on project teams to plan analyze organize and execute on projects. Tasks include:
  • Assist in developing designing or preparing images for marketing collateral and/or web applications.
  • Update / modify custom designs to be compliant with ANSI and Check 21 standards.
  • Create and modify product design templates as requested by client(s).
• Provides input for process improvement. Participates on teams for specified projects and in local work groups.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

• Two-year art related degree or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE

• Graphic Maintenance Mecca and Quark experience is a plus
• Thorough knowledge of graphic design software programs including Adobe Illustrator Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat

Additional Information

Starting Wage $22+ Per Hour, DOE

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities
