EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline,
preferably in business, accounting, or finance.
NOTE:
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute experience as indicated
above on a year-for-year basis.

EXPERIENCE:
Four (4) years of experience in the coordination of grant funding in a public or private organization
including basic experience in the operation and procedures normally associated with private, state or
federally funded grants and demonstration projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner and/or Executive Director of the Division of Teaching
and Learning Services, the Grant Administrator manages the program and fiscal elements of the New
Jersey Accelerated Learning Program: High-Impact Tutoring Grant.
- Reviews grant applications to ensure accurate budget information, conformity with grant
requirements, and proper utilization of federal and state regulations and procedures.
- Monitors the expenditures of the grant program by reviewing and processing monthly
payment requests, confirming that funds are requested from the appropriate expenditure
category and within budget constraints.
- Maintains Financial Status Reports of the grant program, which includes a database of
participating Local Education Agencies (LEAs), frequency and amount of monthly drawdown
requests, interim and final report submission, approval, and analysis.
- Monitors specific terms and conditions of State Federal Relief Funds (SFRF) Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU) to ensure compliance with these conditions by the Department and
LEAs.
- Provides virtual and/or on-site technical assistance to LEAs regarding the administration
of the grant program and submission of reports.
- Advises LEAs with program updates, due dates, and general correspondence.
- Works closely with the Office of Grants Management (OGM) to communicate the status
of monthly drawdowns and submission of interim and final reports.
- Provides weekly reports to update division-head on status of grant projects, outstanding
issues, and/or make recommendations as needed for project planning

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $41.00 per hour
